The UROVO Healthcare Solutions
The UROVO range features a variety of rugged hardware for application in enterprise applications. The P8100H
The P8100H is UROVO’s rugged tablet solution for healthcare. This hardware solution is fully customisable but comes standard with a professional 1D & 2D scan engine for data collection, this could be used for scanning medication, or patient identification.
Other features include the dual speaker with BOX that enables enhanced stereo sound, for clear sound definition is loud environments, this could be necessary in a busy medical environment, especially in emergency units which are often hectic and noisy.
Another useful feature is the large capacity battery providing long battery life, additionally, the battery can be swapped over, this prevents any downtime, which is paramount in a healthcare scenario when patients’ health & safety are at risk.
Provided the rugged functionality, the tablet is equipped with an IP67 sealing and 1.2m drop test approved, for industrial application. This could be another benefit when working in an active medical facility. Realistically the device is prone to drops and therefore requires protection to prevent damage and ultimately, increase the longevity of the device.
The DT50H
The DT50H is a rugged handheld device for healthcare professionals. Providing exceptional performance thanks to the Octa-core architecture processor, with better performance but with low power consumption.
For practical off-site use the DT50H has Wi-Fi roaming and LTE frequency coverage, this could be beneficial for community nurses, care workers, and midwives that require communication with other colleagues and their patients as well as updating medical records and recording information about their visits.
Another reason the DT50H is useful for off-site workers is the sunlight viewable screen for convenient outdoor use. The rugged device enables practical application for off-site workers thanks to the IP67 rating.
Antimicrobial Material | P8100H & DT50H
Included with the P8100H and the DT50H, both devices feature antimicrobial material combined in the make-up of the devices. Antimicrobial materials are substances or surfaces that are designed to inhibit the growth or kill microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and algae. These materials are used in various applications to help reduce the spread of infectious diseases and maintain a more hygienic environment. The material can also protect against harsh cleaning chemicals which are used to clean the devices in healthcare settings, this is useful to maintain the device standard & prevent erosion or deterioration of the device for a prolonged device use.
A unique element of these healthcare devices is that, the P8100H and DT50H are blended with antimicrobial material. Unlike most healthcare devices that are usually coated with a layer of antimicrobial material, that can become worn away overtime.
