This blog post is all you need to get your head around the options and achieve your ideal vehicle mount solution for your rugged handheld, tablet, Microsoft Surface or iPad.

3 Simple Steps

It will only take 3 simple steps to get there:

  1. Select a holder for your device:

In order to start putting together your mobile device mounting solution, first, you need to choose a holder. There are a variety of options when it comes to holders; you can either decide to mount to your existing cradle or dock using a Ram Ball, directly mount to your own device with a Snap Mount or mount the device using the Ram X-Grip and Slider Tab solutions.

  1. Select arms:

Once you have selected the ideal holder, you can start thinking of picking a Socket Arm to build onto it. Don’t worry about a thing, as there is a large variety of lengths, diameters, styles and materials from which to choose. But it doesn’t end here! There is more to be happy about, since all arms are available with a standard twist knob, steel locking knob, Pin-Lock Security Knob and Key Knob.

  1. Select a base to be mounted to your application:

You are nearly finished! All you have left now is choosing a base to attach to your application. Some of the most popular ones being the RAM Ball, Tough-Claw, Suction Cup, RAM Clamps, RAM Plate and Vehicle and Forklift Mount.

  1. If additional components are required:

I know, I know… We said 3 steps! This is the last one, we promise. Depending on your selection or if you need power or additional components might be required. If this is the case, there is no reason to get flustered! All you have to do is contact our team for further information, they’ll happily help you out!

Dedicated large screen fork lift terminals or vehicle mount computers allows users to view data or run a terminal emulation session usually into a warehouse management system.
