MobileWorxs appointed as a 42Gears Reseller
9th September 2019 – Worcestershire, United Kingdom – MobileWorxs, providers of enterprise mobility solutions, announced that it has been appointed as a reseller for 42Gears Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solutions in the United Kingdom.
According to MobileWorx’s Managing Director, Andrew Cahill, 42Gears UEM software will allow customers to remotely manage and secure all corporate and employee-owned mobile devices in premise and in the field across all platforms. This includes mobile devices such as rugged tablets, mobile handheld, forklift, thermal transfer printers and barcode scanners.
Kaushik Sindhu, Associate Vice President at 42Gears, says, “It’s imperative for organisations to ensure that all their rugged devices are EMM-ready (Enterprise Mobility Management). It’s not just about ROI; these devices are process-critical assets that must be managed and monitored. Enterprises need a means to provision such devices in bulk, push alerts over-the-air and prevent device misuse, while ensuring that the data on them is not jeopardised. Unified endpoint management is the way ahead.”
Cahill says that mobile device management or UEM software is essential if you have more than an estimated 50 devices in your organisation. “It’s important to protect your mobile investment so you know the status of all your devices at any time. In addition, you need to create a secure browsing environment for all users, and monitor the health of all devices so you know when they need servicing, updates or repairs,” he says.
UEM software provides the facility to communicate to all managers and users, limit access to applications if required, update software remotely and categorise device according to branch or regions so that device management is easy and cost-effective.
“A big benefit is reducing downtime by fixing software or hardware issues remotely where possible without recalling mobile devices to the repair centre,” he adds. Learn More.
